Well I really feel stressed today with the markets acting down and I happen to work for a bank.I have to think that i could lose my job any day now. now that's not unusual for people in banking but it really is bad today.Banking is the target of bad decisions, congress, the Fed and anyone who now has an unpaid mortgage or bad credit card debt. You would think that that was everyone today with all of the bad news we see in the media.
Now despite tons of wisdom and history behind them bankers constantly make the same mistakes and we have plenty of customers willing to do the same thing. i have lived with these mistakes my entire time working for banks and it seems that every ten or twenty years these mistakes jam up the banking system and ruin many many lives.
I say that when this is over we should insist that kids get a proper education on saving and discreet use of credit.
In fact I would go so far as to make sure that new banking customers receive, actually be made to take a course in correct use of credit and proper savings techniques. In other words, you either take the course or you do not become a customer of the bank.Believe me a little more tough love and we do not have these problems we see today.

Things started bad Sunday night with the news the the company I work for bought Bear Sterns. Employees in the banking business probably face more layoff notices and threats then anyone that I know of.An additional 14,000 employees added to our company will not help things for the lowly credit card employees that I work with who are probably the lowest paid bank people that their are. With the company pushing electronic payments and the current new customers more computer savvy we seem to be in the the sights of company slashers.
With the new credit crisis ballooning( I say "new" because bankers seem to cause new problems every ten years or so) Monday started with my fear of seeing 401ks being wiped out left and right. We seem to be holding on however.
Tuesday has started well on the Market with a 200 point lift off.
