Hi
No that is not my desk put we all have dreams. This Christmas season will not be a great one because my mom has asked if I would mind not having a tree. Since my dad passed she has been unable to get into the mood. Thats the Christmas mood. I cannot blame her since Christmas was my dads favorite holiday. So we wont have a tree but I think that we will try to string up some lights outside on the bushes like I have since the beginning of time. Thats what Christmas is really about, isn't it? Memories of time past.

this is my first post on vox and i have to say i am kinda upset. My dad died last Wednesday night
as i was going to work. well there is a long story to that but maybe I will tell that later but i included a picture of the late playwright August Wilson. Wilson wrote plays about peoples family history. Although most were about Afro-Americans they were really about all families. Thats what my stories will be about, my family and the surroundings and the trappings of living in America. My little part of America,Wilmington,Delaware.
Well as i wrote my dad died as I was going to work. I was going to work because I felt that my dad was getting better in the hospital. I was told that in fact he was getting better by a nurse who was attending him in the hospitals ICU. "We are moving him because he know longer needs to be in the ICU because he is getting better". Wouldn't that make you think he was getting better .Yep. Well
actually he was getting worst. Thats why the hospital left him alone and allowed him to slowly die. They knew he was not getting better. They just did not want us to know. Our family doctor didn't care. The surgeons didn't care. Who cared? Well his family did. In the end his family were not even told that their Dad died at 10:30 pm until around 11:30pm and I did not find out until a couple of hours later.
See nothing is tougher then not being there when your dad is taking his last god given breath.
Not being around him even though I could not help him. nothing is worst then getting kicked in the backside when you think your dad is getting better only to be told that your dad died while you were at work because you were told that your dad was getting better.
